                 As the Director of I2E, Professor Ts. Dr. Mohd Khairul bin Ahmad is responsible for running all facets of the Institute’s business. Before the appointment for Director of I2E, Professor Ts. Dr. Mohd Khairul bin Ahmad was the Principal Researcher of Microelectronics and Nanotechnology - Shamsuddin Research Centre (MiNT-SRC) and Deputy Director (Research Grant Management) at Research Management Center (RMC). He was in Japan for more than 5 years for his Degree and PhD studies. He speaks Japanese fluently.

    1. Manage financial affairs under IIE responsibilities which include procurement processes, staff travel claims, contract staff payrolls and monthly financial reports (SAGA system and Vot books)
    2. Coordinated PTJ Technical Committee Meeting paperwork for materials & instruments purchase order
    3. Provision of IIE MyRA Data and FAMS (Assets) system
    4. Coordinates PTJ filing system and its correspondence
    5. The whole IIE administrative affairs  and CoE meetings.
    6. Manage official visits to or from outside the university and related tasks.
    7. Monitor administrative records and documentations according to filing code.
    8. Response to the other offices mail and industry.
    9. Manage and coordinate with CoE(s) report for related meeting upon request.

    1. Manage SENA Traffic grants for research instruments specification, engaged suppliers and research progress.
    2. Manage safety and health reports for CoE, chemical waste disposal records and coordinates ERT courses at IIE
    3. Write high impact journals with collaborations between researchers and update international grant lists
    4. Manage information and galleries on the IIE website
    5. Manage HiCoE data and taskforce multidisciplinary research 
    6. Manage analysis and calibration of the instrument, provides training & briefing on response surface methodology (RSM)
    7. Manage the establishment and appointment of Researchers at CoE(s).
    8. Manage systems and social media under I²E responsibility.

    1.  Manage the transition process whether it involves direct purchases, quotes and so on for Vot Manage, Fund and Research.
    2. Maintaining and storing documents and letters relating to acquisitions and payment process.
    3. Manage procurement payment process either payment of fees and payment to
      suppliers (AP).
    4. Maintaining Vot Book for Managing Provision and also helping manage the virement process.
    5. Provides a monthly adjustment of Vot Manage reports.
    6. Provide reports that are directed from time to time such as an expenditure reports, liability status and others.

    1. Responsible for collecting and sending documents in and out.
    2. Ensure sufficient supply in PTJ and programmes organized by I²E.
    3. Perform photocopying of necessary documents and manage file management
    4. Manage the name / memo card application and send it to the printing unit.
    5. Responsible in booking transportation for researchers.
